Safeguarding our Community
Safeguarding legislation and government guidance says that safeguarding means;
- Protecting children from maltreatment
- Preventing impairment of children's health or development
- Ensuring that chidlren are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
- Taking action to enable all children and young people to have the best outcomes
Safeguarding includes child protection, health care plans, health and safety, site security, safetly on school trips, anti-bullying to name but a few.
Kingswood Primary School and Nursery staff take Safeguarding extremely seriously. Our team is dedicated to keeping children safe within an environment that promotes happiness, trust and high expectation of behaviour and learning of all our learners. The school adheres to the follwoing three DFE safeguarding documents and follows the SET Procedures of Safeguarding (Southend, Essex, Thurrock):
